Subject: Grave Concerns Regarding Actions of Elbert County Officials
Dear Mayor Rivero,
I am writing to inform you of recent actions by Judge Theresa Slade, Sheriff Tim Norton, Undersheriff Dave Fisher, and their deputies that gravely concern me as a resident of Parker. These officials are using their positions to enforce a fraudulent eviction order against Mr. Zachary Moore, who resides at 371 Buckskin Court with his wife and newborn child.
On January 11th, military-grade vehicles were deployed to deliver an eviction notice—an egregious misuse of taxpayer resources and a display of intimidation wholly unbecoming of public servants. Over 200,000 people have viewed this incident through my TikTok account, where I have 30,000 followers. The public outrage is palpable.
What strikes me most is the apparent justification these officials are hiding behind: “We’re just doing our jobs.” This excuse is tragically familiar. It was repeatedly invoked during the Nuremberg Trials, where individuals sought to absolve themselves of responsibility for enforcing unjust and inhumane orders. The disturbing findings of the Milgram experiment further illuminate how ordinary people, when pressured by authority, can carry out immoral actions they would never choose on their own.
Stanley Milgram’s 1960s study revealed that a majority of participants would inflict harm on others simply because an authority figure instructed them to. Much like the historical examples of WWII or Christopher R. Browning’s Ordinary Men, the Milgram experiment demonstrates how compliance, group dynamics, and deference to authority can lead to shocking acts of harm.
This history is repeating itself in our own backyard. Officials are acting as little more than a “violence delivery service”—a kind of DoorDash with military equipment—blindly enforcing orders without questioning their legitimacy or morality. The use of military-grade vehicles and threats of force against a peaceful family in the bitter Colorado winter is unconscionable.
Mr. Moore has made it clear he has no intention of leaving his property. His response will not be one of violence or submission. Instead, he intends to practice peaceful, intelligent, and defiant non-compliance.
When deputies cross the boundary onto his driveway, they will be trespassing. When they attempt to forcibly remove him, they will be guilty of breaking and entering, assault, and unlawfully dispossessing him of his property. As they execute these actions, they will pass by symbols that demand reflection: the Palestinian flag, representing a genocide funded by fiat currency; the Christian flag, symbolizing a faith founded on the unjust execution of an innocent man; and flags honoring the spirit of the American Revolution.
These symbols will force them to confront a painful question: What exactly are they defending?
Mayor Rivero, I urge you to consider what this situation reveals about the state of governance in Parker and Elbert County. Officials must be reminded that their oath is not to blindly enforce orders but to protect the Constitution and the natural rights of the people they serve.
History will not judge us kindly if we allow injustice to proceed unchallenged. The Milgram experiment, the Nuremberg Trials, and countless historical examples remind us that true justice requires courageous individuals to question authority and act with moral conviction. As a public servant, you have the power to ensure Parker is a place where justice prevails, where law reflects morality, and where no one can hide behind the excuse of “just doing my job.”
Sincerely,
Zachary Moore

Subject: Urgent Concern: Actions of Elbert County Officials Against Colorado Resident
Dear Governor Polis,
I am writing to inform you of an alarming situation involving Elbert County officials, including Judge Theresa Slade, Sheriff Tim Norton, Undersheriff Dave Fisher, and their deputies, concerning their actions against a Colorado resident, Mr. Zachary Moore, who resides at 371 Buckskin Court in Parker with his wife and newborn child.
On January 11, 2025, the Elbert County Sheriff's Office deployed a military-style MRAP vehicle to deliver a fraudulent and unconstitutional eviction notice to Mr. Moore’s property. This unprecedented show of force, funded by taxpayer dollars, has drawn significant public outrage, with over 200,000 people viewing and reacting to my documentation of the event on social media. My TikTok following, now over 30,000 strong, has expressed collective dismay at the abuse of power demonstrated by these officials.
What is most concerning is the justification provided by these individuals: "We are just doing our job." This echoes the infamous Nuremberg defense and demonstrates a profound failure to consider the ethical and legal implications of their actions. It reflects an unsettling detachment from their constitutional duty to protect the life, liberty, and property of the citizens they serve.
Historical lessons, such as those documented in Christopher Browning’s Ordinary Men, demonstrate how ordinary people can become perpetrators of extraordinary harm when they follow orders without question. Similarly, Stanley Milgram’s experiments revealed the ease with which individuals defer to authority, even when it leads to the suffering of others. These phenomena provide critical context for understanding the actions of Elbert County officials and their reliance on hierarchical obedience over moral judgment.
While the Sherrif department has stated their intentions to be violent and demonstrated their capacity for it, Mr. Moore has stated his intent to practice peaceful, intelligent, and defiant non-compliance should deputies arrive to enforce this eviction after January 19 (Sunday). His position is grounded in constitutional principles, and he has made it clear that the actions required to remove him from his home would violate numerous laws, including trespassing, breaking and entering, and unlawful dispossession of property.
The imagery at Mr. Moore’s residence—including flags representing Palestine, Christianity, and the American Revolution—underscores the moral and historical contradictions that law enforcement officers will face when executing these orders. These symbols compel reflection on what it truly means to defend freedom and justice, challenging those involved to reconcile their actions with the ideals they claim to uphold.
Governor Polis, this situation demands your immediate attention. The people of Colorado deserve leadership that upholds the Constitution and holds accountable those who abuse their authority. I urge you to intervene and ensure that the rights of Mr. Moore and his family are protected.
Sincerely,
Zachary Moore

Subject: Request for Internal Investigation into Elbert County Officials
To the Colorado Department of Internal Affairs,
I am writing to formally request an internal investigation into the actions of Elbert County officials, including Judge Theresa Slade, Sheriff Tim Norton, Undersheriff Dave Fisher, and their deputies. These individuals have exhibited alarming misuse of their authority and public resources in their treatment of Mr. Zachary Moore, a Colorado resident living at 371 Buckskin Court in Parker with his wife and newborn child.
Of particular concern is the planned eviction of Mr. Moore on Sunday, January 19, 2025, under circumstances that appear to be not only unconstitutional but morally reprehensible. This eviction is based on what Mr. Moore has documented as a fraudulent and invalid court order, and its enforcement has involved actions that defy both ethical and legal standards.
The use of a military-grade MRAP vehicle to deliver an eviction notice on January 11, 2025 is an outrageous display of intimidation. Such equipment, designed for war zones, has no place in civilian matters and represents a gross misuse of public resources. This action has already drawn public condemnation, with over 200,000 individuals viewing related documentation on social media.
Alarmingly, the officials involved continue to justify their actions with the refrain, "We are just doing our job." This defense eerily echoes historical atrocities, as documented in Christopher Browning’s Ordinary Men, and psychological experiments like Milgram's, where individuals blindly followed authority to commit harmful acts. These justifications reflect a failure to critically assess the morality and constitutionality of their actions.
By proceeding with this eviction, these officials would commit multiple legal violations, including trespassing, breaking and entering, assault, and unlawful dispossession of property. Mr. Moore has stated his commitment to peaceful, intelligent, and defiant non-compliance, forcing these officials to confront the illegality of their actions in full view of their hypocrisy.
Furthermore, the imagery present at Mr. Moore’s property—such as the Palestinian flag, the Christian flag, and symbols of the American Revolution—serves as a stark reminder of the moral and historical contradictions these officers must face. These symbols challenge them to consider their role and the values they claim to uphold as public servants sworn to protect life, liberty, and property under the Constitution.
I urge the Colorado Department of Internal Affairs to launch an immediate investigation into these actions. The planned eviction on January 19 threatens to further erode public trust in Colorado's institutions and highlights the need for accountability at all levels of government.
Sincerely,
Zachary Moore
